St. Anna Children’s Hospital does great things for the little ones
St. Anna Children’s Hospital is the Austrian pediatric hospital with a global reputation. 550 people across medicine, nursing, research, therapy, and administration care for children and give them and their families courage in the most difficult times. Nearly 200 years of medical history. Hospital and research under one roof. And a team that supports one another.
A place where titles matter less. Where paths are short – literally, because the hospital is small, and figuratively, because no one has to knock on three doors to be heard. New hires often say: “On my trial day, I couldn’t tell who was a doctor and who was in nursing.”
Small patients. Big mindset.
What do a physician, a facility technician, and a psychologist at St. Anna have in common?
They all work:
With courage. For almost 200 years, we have been shaping pediatric medicine – with international impact and reputation. We research, treat, and develop therapies that give children a future. This combination is unique in Austria. Those who are eager to learn will experience steep learning curves at St. Anna through multidisciplinary exchange – both professionally and personally.
With heart. Direct communication and strong collaboration define how we work. New hires notice it immediately. You can’t tell at first glance who is a doctor, nurse, or therapist. We know each other by name, and every expertise is valued and integrated. We support children and their families through their hardest moments because we experience that same support within our teams and from our leaders.
With pride. We are proud of what we achieve every day – and of what lies ahead. We are already among the best pediatric hospitals worldwide, and by 2030 we aim to be the most innovative in Europe. That’s why we work weekends or nights when needed. That’s why a shift sometimes runs longer, and why reading medical literature in our free time is part of the job. As a team, we balance it all.
Anyone who works here knows: “We achieve great things for the little ones” is not a campaign slogan collecting dust somewhere on the intranet. It’s our daily drive – across all professions, on every ward.
And then, the grown-ups went viral.
After defining positioning, values, and the employer value proposition, the next logical step followed: out of the building and into the world. Social media as a stage. The real, warm St. Anna team in the leading roles – no actors, no stock photos, no staged smiles.
After just one week: more than 180,000 impressions on a single reel. Not because of algorithm magic. But because real people tell a real story – and you can feel that, even through a screen.
The employer brand is not explained. It is shown. And seen.
The project is ongoing. And so is the story.
So: stay tuned – there’s more to come.
