That’s why we take leaders to places where a shift in mindset is visible on every street corner: Welcome to Nairobi – Africa’s Silicon Savannah.

Africa has skipped all conventional technologies and landed with 1.2 billion inhabitants directly in the mobile age. This was made possible by the first African world market leader m-pesa – Safaricom’s subsidiary that has made mobile money the continent’s most attractive means of payment. An economic area has emerged here that shows Europeans what digitalisation, agility and a start-up mentality can achieve. With an internet coverage that is one place ahead of Austria.

The Learning Journeys are both a source of inspiration and a networking platform. Kenyan best practice examples on infrastructure, mobile money, health, energy and education will be visited and heard. A city tour and safari complete the trip. Networking with representatives of the local middle class will be a top priority – the first partnerships are already on their way.
