Corporate Culture Club at Microsoft

von Hannah Kern • Thursday, 16. April 2026

Two topics that are currently transforming the world of work. And an evening where both came together.

Microsoft made it clear right from the start: Technology is usually ready before people are. Co-Pilot can be installed. Trust cannot. Bernd Zimmermann and Boryana Manolova called it like it is – and set the tone.

ÖBB then demonstrated what the path looks like when you’re truly committed to it. 20,000 office employees, 3,000 Co-Pilot licenses, 60% of which are active daily. That’s the approach taken by Rainer Janisch and Mercedes Orasch. And their key takeaway: Success is most likely when leaders don’t just empower their teams – they’re passionate about it themselves.

Now for the other end of the spectrum. Not a software rollout, but a masterpiece of Löwen culture. Hartlauer, with 1,900 employees, has been on a roaring employer branding journey for the past three years. Nikolaus Koller, Julia Horvatits, and Markus Zauner exemplify what happens when a company truly trusts its people: 11 employee ambassadors who share their take on everyday life at Löwen on their own channels. Without a long leash. With up to 2.9 million impressions.

What remains? Technology, like culture, needs people who stand out in a positive way. And among our 100 guests, there were plenty of them!
