A \u201cfirst-name basis\u201d culture at the Austrian Post?

The Corporate Culture Club at Haus D\u00f6bling<\/strong> was an evening full of aha-moments \u2014 and a powerful reminder of how much dynamism can exist in organisations that one wouldn’t expect at first glance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christian Hennefeind<\/strong>, Managing Director of H\u00e4user zum Leben<\/em>, opened the evening and invited more than 110 guests<\/strong> to take a closer look. What followed were two culture stories that could hardly be more different \u2014 and yet pursue the same goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to work happy<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

What happens when 135 seniors clubs switch to agile working?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Madlena Komitova<\/strong>, Head of the Seniors\u2019 Clubs Division, shared \u2014 with humour and refreshing honesty, how a truly special cultural transformation can be achieved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Employees and residents now work together in 13 thematic groups <\/strong>to make life in Vienna even more liveable: with flat hierarchies, genuine self-organisation and a joy in co-creation. A talk that showed how cultural work is effective when approached with conviction and ease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Culture can do more \u2014 why mindset is the new growth driver<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Austrian Post<\/strong> also demonstrated the courage to change.
Martina Mader<\/strong>, Deputy Head of HR Management, and Michael H\u00e4uslschmid<\/strong>, Project Manager and Business Partner, shared insights into a structured and effective culture transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A clear vision, a well-managed process and a broad set of initiatives have been showing impact since 2022 \u2014 most notably through more than 150 active culture ambassadors<\/strong>. Around 20 of them were present<\/strong> at our event, demonstrating how mindset, leadership and participation reinforce one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Award-level grilling, heart, and community<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After the presentations, things heated up in the best possible way.
The kitchen and service crew marched onto the stage Traumschiff-style<\/em> and opened the culinary finale. G\u00fcnter Hymer<\/strong> and his team served a barbecue at gourmet-level quality \u2014 accompanied by home-brewed beer, open conversations and ideas that went well beyond the plate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
